Living Well Transitions Host Mindfulness Panel
Boulder, CO 2010
At the 2010 Annual Conference for the National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs (NATSAP), Living Well Transitions hosted an expert panel discussion entitled, “Perspectives on the Use of Mindfulness-Based Processes to Support Client Growth and Staff Wellness.”
Britton Turkett, Living Well Transitions’ Program Director, identified and coordinated a group of clinicians versed in these practices to explore how mindfulness-based processes can support both clients and staff in their therapeutic journeys. Panelists included Britton Turkett, Norman Elizondo (Open Sky Wilderness), Rob Nielson (Cedar Ridge Academy), Shayne Gallagher and Beth Fogel (Wingate Wilderness Therapy), and was moderated by Brooks Witter of Living Well Transitions.
The one and a half hour discussion was well received by the 100+ person audience who appreciated the discussion being grounded in experiential exercises that provided an immediate context of understanding.
